What is STAR?

State of Texas Access Reform (STAR) is available at no cost to all members of the family who qualify based on family income. This plan covers children, pregnant women, adults over 65, and people with disabilities.

The STAR program offers Medicaid services to members, except in a different way, called managed care. Driscoll Health Plan is one of the health plans who provide services to Medicaid members under the STAR program for the following counties:
