STAR/Medicaid Benefits Information
In the STAR Program, you will receive a wide range of benefits.
These include:
- Choice of doctors
- Regular check-ups and medical exams for children under 21 years
of age
- Adults receive one physical exam per year.
- Unlimited prescription drugs
- Dentist visits, cleanings and fillings (provided through Delta
Dental)
- Access to medical specialists (as ordered by your Primary Care
Provider – PCP)
- Shots and immunizations for children under 21 years of age
- Hospital care and services
- X-rays and lab tests
- Coverage for special health needs
- Eye exams and glasses
- Mental health care
- Asthma and Diabetes Management
- Translation services at your doctor’s office
- Free transportation to your doctor
Driscoll Children's Health Plan also offers the following Value
Added Services:
- Temporary cell phone use for pregnant members, or members with
special health care needs, who do not have a telephone
- $100 for glasses every 24 months
- Flu shots for adult members
- Enrollment in obesity prevention and treatment program
- Home environmental assessment with free pillow and bed covers
- Home visits for new mothers
